Description
The National Art Library (NAL) is the UK's largest, most significant and accessible dedicated collection of publications relating to art and design. It is one of the top four art libraries in the world. In March 2020, the NAL closed its doors to the public due to the first UK lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The library has remained closed since, offering a limited service for internal and external users. The wider context of the V&A is one of significant financial challenge - the repeated forced closure of the museum has significantly impacted the V&A's business model and operating capability. The V&A sought tenders from consultants with demonstrable and successful experience of specialist library service provision and transformation to carry out a review of the National Art Library.
