Culturally Competent Genetics - Supporting decision making and understanding about genetics leading to better outcomes for mums, babies and families within the Pakistani communities of Kirklees

Quotations are invited by the Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") from Suppliers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision of delivering a co-produced Community Champion model to improve genetic literacy around the increased risk of genetic disorders associated with close relative marriage within the Pakistani population in Kirklees thereby supporting decision making and understanding leading to better outcomes for mums, babies and families. This contract is anticipated to commence on 1st January 2023 and will expire on 31st March 2023 with the provision to extend for 2 further 12 month periods up to March 2025 dependent on national funding. This is a fixed price contract for the Services to be awarded. The budget is fifty-six thousand, four hundred and eleven pounds (£56,111.00) for the period January to March 2023. Funding for subsequent years will be determined at the time of contract extension dependent on national funding.
