Description
The Council needs DEA assessors for the provision of good quality Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) across 400 of Oxford City Council's homes. In order to get this work done by the end of February, it is anticipated that this will require 5 assessors doing around 80 surveys. The project will require 2 hours initial training then: • The assessors will be given a geographical area of Oxford to work in. • Tenants will be advised that surveys will take place and the name of relevant assessors by letter at least one week in advance • All assessors will be provided with a letter of authorisation from a named Council officer to show they are working on their behalf • All assessors will be expected to carry the letter and show an identification card • Assessors will be provided with a set of lists of Council properties in a selected area and details. In all cases one EPC will need to be provided from each list. • Where EPCs are carried out and are E, F or Gs, further EPCs need to be sampled from the same list to see if these are the same rating. If it looks likely that the whole street/area is this lower rating, assessors will be required to access and provide EPCs for as many of these as possible. • Where no access is possible from a given list, the assessor must try to gain access out of standard working hours then contact Debbie Haynes urgently in order for Council support.
