Description

The Handy Van service is for Bournemouth Borough Council and is a service the Borough of Poole may access in the future. The Service is to make minor adaptations and repairs to allow people to remain independent and in their own homes for longer. The service will be for people living in Bournemouth who; • are 60 years and over (or people deemed at risk) • are in receipt of receipt of some form of benefit support such as Attendance Allowance, Disability Allowance or Pension Credit • own or rent their own home in Bournemouth. The service will cover minor adaptations and repairs such as changing light bulbs, installing grab rails, fitting key safes, securing fence panels, hanging curtains, etc., to enable people with eligibility to the Service to live independently for longer.
