Description

Manchester Cathedral is seeking to appoint a Lead Architect for the development and delivery (subject to approvals) of capital works associated with the Cathedral's current building programme. The appointed practice will lead the design, coordination and statutory approvals required for the project, working closely with the Cathedral, the appointed consultants, and relevant stakeholders. This notice represents the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) stage of a two-stage restricted procurement process. Following evaluation of PQQ submissions, a shortlist of applicants will be selected and invited to participate in the full tender (ITT) stage, where detailed proposals and fee submissions will be sought. The Cathedral intends to appoint a Lead Architect with expertise in heritage buildings, conservation-led design, and the management of complex working sites within active places of worship.
