716 - Extruder Add On (Haul Off)

The Centre for Process Innovation Ltd (CPI) requires the following; CPI require a haul off unit in order to upgrade the capability of the existing Thermofisher twin screw extruder. This Unit needs to be used to ensure continuous production of tapes and fibres to a constant given thickness or diameter. The rolls are heated up to 200c to prevent premature crystallisation and ensure thickness across tapes in combination with the nip roll enable forward draw of tapes and fibres to allow the material to be anisotropicallly oriented to achieve the required mechanical properties.
