Description
DVLA currently has a contract in place for cabling work and full time resource. TUPE terms are likely to apply but bidders should seek their own legal advice on whether TUPE applies and should reflect any financial implications in their offers. DVLA will not be involved in any TUPE discussions. Discussions and decisions around TUPE need to be agreed and if applicable in place prior to the contract start date. This request is to provide an on-site engineer Monday - Friday 8 Hours a day to provide a managed cabling service. In addition the contract will cover Out of Hours (OoH) cabling moves on the three Swansea sites (Morriston, Ty Felin and Swansea Vale) along with any materials required for cabling works. Data outlet moves Data outlet additions Data outlet removal Cabling fault investigation and repair Local site survey Patching Project works and management Provide quotes to supply materials for projects Fibre Installations Cat6 Installations Telecom Installations Look after documentation related to Datacentres and comms rooms cabling capacity. Quarterly Service review Suppliers will need to provide the following for the on-site engineer: FLUKE Cable analyser (Cat6/Fibre Heads) Fusion Splicer OTDR (SM/MM) Hand Polishing Kit Telecom Testing Equipment Hand Tools Laptop Branded Workwear Car Mobile Phone DVLA will provide the following: Network Connectivity Access to DVLA email/LAN via desktop PC Access to Service now stack for fault calls Desk telephone and fixed landline number Health & Safety procedures On-site induction DVLA Security Pass Suppliers to provide evidence the following Mandatory requirements: Proof on-site engineer has SC Clearance Suppliers to provide details of their Industry Accreditations Suppliers to provide details of their Supplier Accreditations Suppliers to provide details of their Engineers Accreditations/qualifications Suppliers shall provide a statement regarding the scope of their Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans to protect the Agency from the consequences of business interruptions.
