Description
The Pennine Way National Trail is an outstanding and well known route which attracts many visitors and is a key asset for the tourism industry of Northumberland National Park and the North East region. Unfortunately the increased pressure this brings to the fragile vegetation and archaeological sites has caused erosion problems. The purpose of the contract is to seek the services of a suitably qualified contractor to install a soil reversal path for the repair of a 2,680 metre section of the Pennine Way above Gibshiel of width 1.5 - 2 metre. The contract is to enable Northumberland National Park Authority to undertake a grant funded project which must be completed by 28th February 2019.
