Description
Devon County Council, as the Waste Disposal Authority works in partnership with the District Councils and Unitary Authorities through Devon Authorities Waste Reduction and Recycling Committee (DAWRRC). DAWRRC members are working together to achieve a 65 % recycling rate by 2025/26 and achieve best value in the provision of the sale of recyclable materials collected from householders and from recycling facilities throughout Devon. The participant DAWRRC members at the Contract's Commencement will be East Devon District Council, Exeter City Council, Mid Devon District Council, North Devon Council, Teignbridge District Council, South Hams District Council, West Devon Borough Council and Torbay Council. The Service is being procured for the benefit and potential future participation of other DAWRRC members, should they choose to join the Contract. This Contract is for the provision, maintenance of clothing and textile banks at various locations specified in Appendix 2 of the ITT, collection of material deposited in the banks by the public, as well as collecting the material stockpiled as part of the kerbside collection schemes provided by the participating DAWRRC members.
