Leasing & Servicing of Sterile Services Vans

The Sterile Services Department at the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle site currently have two ADR plated transport vehicles. One of which leaves and returns to site three times daily, Monday to Friday and minimum once and up to three times per weekend. The vans journey between The Cumberland Infirmary and Whitehaven Hospital The vans are swapped round weekly to ensure wear and tear is managed effectively. The requirement for two vans is due to them requiring ADR plating for the transport of class 6 Infectious Substances and class 7 Radiation and the need for there to be a van available at all times.
