Lowestoft College has enjoyed a long and varied history since it was first established 140 years ago. Over the years, thousands of people have been through the doors to develop the new skills and qualifications they need for their future careers. Lowestoft College was originally established as an art college, but, over the years, more courses have been introduced and today range from the construction trades and engineering, to care, hairdressing and beauty therapy, as well as travel, catering, business, sport and uniformed services. Lowestoft College’s popularity continues to grow and thousands of people choose to study at Lowestoft College each year. The College requires the services of a competent and professional outsourced catering provider who can provide a range of good quality, nutritious, affordable meals and food items for students and staff. The College requires that Bidders’ tender submissions provide a net zero cost solution for the College. This includes all supplier costs and fees, including management fees. The Successful Bidder shall establish effective management and operational level communication systems at all levels regarding the catering service with customers that include; College management, parents, and students. In addition, the provider will also be responsible for all legal, health and safety, and food safety requirements in delivering the services. The Contract will include all food and staff provision to support the successful delivery of the catering services requirement including the purchasing of light equipment.
