Description

The Council as part of the project to move the Bromley Central Library, is seeking suitably qualified Bidders to package, remove and store the various items with the current Bromley Central Library building, as well as a satellite archive store. This approach is to be undertaken in phases as set out within the Specification document, which also includes the relevant standards that Bidders are required to meet. NOTE: The Council noted some issues regarding the award criteria surrounding the Place of Deposit requirements. The Council has taken the decision to re-publish this tender in full. Previous notice identifier: 2025/S 000-016891 The requirements of this tender have been amended to: Bidders will need to confirm they meet the following BSI standards and that their facilities have been inspected and approved by The National Archives as being secure and safe from risks posed by fire, flood and poor environmental conditions in line with these standards. • BS EN 16893:2018 - Conservation of Cultural Heritage • BS 4971:2017 - Conservation and care of archive and library collections • BS EN 16648:2015 - Conservation of cultural heritage - transport methods The Supplier should clearly explain where they will store the Archive and Museum collections - providing full details of the location and facilities. Where the Supplier proposes to split the Archive and Museum over multiple sites or move it between sites, they must ensure all sites are compliant with the specification and standards outlined above. The supplier must also include evidence that they have a FORS certificate as proof that they use FORS-accredited vehicles equipped with on-board cameras and Geotab tracking systems compliant with these standards.
