Description
This contract focuses on increasing engagement and participation of 16-30 year olds living in Merton with regards to COVID and wider COVID recovery issues especially in light of the national move towards 'living with COVID' and responding to some of the impacts that COVID has had on young adults. The aim of this project is to establish a young people's Peer Education Network focussing on two key COVID objectives: 1. Direct COVID related engagement and support 2. COVID recovery support, there has been significant direct and indirect impact of COVID on young people. This project will support young people in a holistic way and may include creating safe places for young people to have conversations on COVID or their health and well-being, or creating peer networks or connections/information/services to support young people. Whilst this project is for all 16-30 year olds we want a strong engagement that reaches the underrepresented groups in this age cohort such as those with additional needs, young people from more deprived backgrounds, young carers, young people who are or may have been looked after, young people who may not be in any education employment or training and also representing the ethnic diversity in Merton.
