Description
Warrington Borough Council are one of the local authorities to be successful in receiving funding through the Local EV Infrastructure (LEVI) Tranche 1 scheme. The scheme aims to give drivers across the country better access to electric vehicle chargepoints. In Warrington, it will enable the roll out of a minimum of 450 additional chargepoint sockets, across the borough in areas where residents don't have access to off-street parking. It will also support the Authority's ongoing work, through its Electric Vehicle Strategy, to encourage many more motorists to convert to the use of electric vehicles. The Authority has procured a Concessionaire who can provide a full end to end service with regards to electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including; supply, installation (including groundworks), operation, maintenance, consultancy/feasibility, software, back office solutions, customer support and investment. Warrington's LEVI application was based around rolling out charging infrastructure across the borough in areas where residents do not have access to off-street parking.
