Description

MOPAC are seeking a specialist provider to undertake research to explore, and better understand, the prevalence and response to 'adult child' to parent violence and abuse (AC2PVA); also known as familial abuse and includes adult family violence and adult family homicide in London. The research will result in set of tested recommendations to establish a London based approach to address the needs and risks associated with AC2PVA. This work will be undertaken in two parts: Part One: Production of a research report summarising findings from literature reviews and fieldwork identifying best practice and lessons learned in tackling AC2PVA, including an analysis of how the response might differ from cases involving children- drawing upon City Hall's comprehensive needs assessment into CAPVA. The report will provide a clear set of recommendations for MOPAC to consider for implementation across London. The publication of this report will coincide with the publication of the Comprehensive Review. Part Two: Together with MOPAC and informed by the fieldwork and research report, collaborate with a few local authority areas to support implementation of the recommendations to test the suggested approaches and fortify final recommendations. The indicative contract start date is June 2024, for a period of six months. Please refer to the full set of Procurement Documents attached to this opportunity.
