Description
Folkestone & Hythe District Council ("the Council") wishes to select and appoint a suitable supplier for construction works at Biggins Wood and invites prospective suppliers to submit a Tender to meet the Council's requirements. The site of the proposed residential and indutrial/commercial development is located on the derelict plot of land to the south of the M20 motorway approximately 2.2km northwest of Folkestone town centre. The site is accessed from Caesars Way to the east. The overall development is ultimately to construct 77 residential dwellings and mixed use development of commercial/office units ( 660 m2) and industrial/storage units (5,142 m2) together with associated car parking, open space, landscaping. This contract forms the initial enabling Works to facilitate the development of the site The Works in this contract comprise, but is not limited to, the construction of an adoptable access road; Ecological works to the satisfaction of the Local Planning Authority; Tree protection measures; Stripping the site of vegetation, shrubs and unprotected trees; Removal of stockpile of construction and demolition materials; Preparation of Interim Verification report; Removal of contaminated materials; The Contract is expected to start on in July 2022.
