Description
The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the Council) is seeking to source a suitably licensed Contractor to directly deliver the Service which is composed of the purchase (by the Contractor from the Council), collection, keeping, and recycling of Baled Steel Cans from the Council's Collection Point. The contract is required to start 15th September 2020 and will run for a fixed period of two years until 31st August 2022 with the option to extend for an additional one year period. The Contractor will purchase the Baled Steel Cans from the Council for a fixed rate per tonne which will track the published market rate each month. The Contractor will be responsible for the collection, keeping and recycling of approximately 65 tonnes per month (780 per annum) of Baled Steel Cans in line with current methods and regulations. The bales weigh approx. 660kgs each and we anticipate 40 x bales to one curtain-sided load.
