Description
The Leader of Gloucester City Council and Cabinet Member for Environment has pledged that Gloucester will continually strive to be measurably cleaner. The use of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for environmental crime offences is intended to deliver improvements in environmental outcomes. Through the reduction of environmental crime, the Authority will deliver a reduction in environmental pollution and contamination, and associated improvements in public perception, health and civic pride and will have the potential to deliver increases in inward investment. This project sits alongside the Authority's declaration of a Climate Emergency and will focus on tackling street scene issues such as littering, fly tipping, Duty of Care offences and dog fouling.
