Description
Key Tasks Strategy hub: key tasks (Lot 1) The successful candidate(s) will become a part of the Strategy team and will support the development of elements of the strategy. Tasks include (but are not limited to): 1. Status quo assessment Identifying the current state of the priority area the candidate(s) are assigned to. We want to ensure that we have a strong base for forward-looking policy approaches. 2. Policy analysis and evaluation Consider how we can use our tools to achieve the long-term objectives we identify. This may include developing new tools as well as considering the role of other stakeholders in the sector. For each policy area we will need to consider how tools could be used to do this and how this could be measured. Candidates will be expected to evaluate the broad impact of each policy option in more depth (e.g. implementation risk vs benefit) and begin to test them. 3. Stakeholder Engagement The candidates will have to engage with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders throughout this work. This will be vital in ensuring that we consider all appropriate evidence and develop effective policy approaches as necessary. The chosen candidates will be required to produce briefings and papers (including for the Ofwat Board) and attend meetings with these stakeholders to gather information and test solutions. Upon the end of the contract the candidates will be expected to handover all of the work and analysis produced and may be required to present their finding in a paper presented to key members of the hub. Part of this may involve the candidates to input in to the drafting of our final publication of the strategy as needed. There will likely be additional tasks in relation to developing the strategy that will arise as the work continues. We expect the chosen candidates to be flexible in responding to the needs of the project.
