GB-Newcastle: T22/0095 - Plate Reader

The University is seeking to procure a plate reader that is specifically designed for microbiological and cell biology assays. The instrument should be capable of performing absorbance and fluorescence measurements using a monochromator with high accuracy, sensitivity, and reproducibility. It should be user-friendly, reliable, and compatible with a variety of microplate formats. The instrument should also come with software that is intuitive and flexible, allowing for customization of assay protocols and data analysis. The plate reader will be used in a variety of applications, including but not limited to microbial growth assays, cell-based assays, ELISA, and enzyme activity assays. The instrument should be able to perform endpoint, kinetic, and spectral scans for these applications. It should also have for temperature, humidity, and gas control to ensure the stability of the samples during the measurement.
