Description
The aim of this project is to update the National Trip End Model (NTEM), which is a trip generation model of England, Scotland and Wales. It forecasts how the demand for surface transport will evolve over the long term. It needs to be updated with more recent data than was available in 2017, when the model was last run. In addition, we want to broaden the scope of the model by increasing the final modelled year until 2061 and by running the model for several possible futures as well as forecasting a central ('core') scenario. The new model run will meet departmental and government-wide standards for quality, and will be accompanied by documentation and reports that conform to the latest accessibility and transparency guidelines. The project needs to deliver results to inform the November update to the Department's Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG).
