Description
St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council wish to appoint a suitably experienced and competent contractor through a competitive quotation exercise to convert the outside area at the Former Sunday School (also known as Nanpean Church Rooms) in Nanpean, Cornwall into a free short stay public car park. The works include - • Repairs to the wall of the existing entrance. • Creation of a second entrance/exit by removing a section of the existing wall. • Dropping the footpath kerb for the second entrance/exit to allow vehicles to cross over the footway (Note: St Stephen in Brannel Parish Council will apply for the permissions to carry out these works). • Supplying and installing a new kerb. • Supplying and laying of appropriate tarmac for the footway. • Supplying and installing appropriate drainage across entrance and connecting to existing drainage system. • Excavation of the area and removal of any waste. • Supplying and laying of hardcore to level the parking area. • Supplying and renewing appropriate drainage for the parking area and connecting to the existing system. • Ensuring adequate drainage is supplied for run off from the building whether that be renewing the current system or supplying and installing new. • Supplying and laying of tarmac for the parking area. • Painting of parking bays and associated works for the parking area as per the attached plan. The Parish Council will expect the site to be left in a clean and tidy condition ready for immediate use; and for all relevant Health & Safety legislation and guidance to be followed. Due to the nature of the works, quotations can only be accepted from companies on Cornwall Councils Street Works Section Accredited Contractor list.
