Description
Contract Award Notice The National Physical Laboratory [NPL] requirement is for a semiconductor parameter analyser for the characterisation of novel semiconductor components at cryogenic temperatures. This is both for our own research and collaborative research with other scientific and commercial partners. 1) A semiconductor parameter analyser mainframe with embedded control system/PC with slots for modular measurement capabilities, internally controlled/synchronised. 2) Low/medium power DC Source/Measure capabilities on at least three channels (typical voltages < 20 V, current < 100 mA) 3) Low current pre-amps on some (preferably all) channels to enable sub-pA current measurement 4) Capacitance measurement capability using a separate card at frequencies approximately 1 kHz to 1 MHz 5) An outboard relay box to facilitate automated testing without user reconfiguration of cables 6) If it is possible within the indicative budget, we are also interested in a pulsed card system (to be quoted separately)
