Stop Smoking Support & Development Team

"Southampton City Council invites potential suppliers to submit tenders for the provision of specialist smoking cessation services, specifically ""Stop Smoking & Development Team"" service provision. The overall aim of the service is to support the reduction of smoking by individuals in Southampton. The service will offer training, quality assurance, advice and support to providers with a particular emphasis on the more vulnerable groups. This will be achieved through the 5 service elements: • Providing training, advice and continuous professional development (CPD) support to front line professionals. • Providing a quality assurance role for providers offering smoking cessation services across the City. • Providing an operational service to a small number of more complex individuals. • Coordination and collection of national data. • Delivering campaigns. The maximum annual value of the contract is £165,000 p.a. The initial contract term is 1 year, lasting from 1st April 2021 - 31st March 2022, with the Council having an option for a further 12 month extension of the contract until 31st March 2023, such that the maximum contract value is £330,000.
