Description
Staffordshire County Council (SCC) wishes to commission a Refugee Integration and Independence Framework to ensure eligible refugees living in Staffordshire are supported to connect with their local communities and have the skills to live independently. The Framework will consist of three service elements:- 1) Targeted Support Service Support for Syrian Refugees during the second and third year of the Syrian resettlement programme this will include: - Targeted Practical support to the whole family in order to promote and enable sustainable independent living and integration within the local community - Targeted Emotional and Behavioural support through the use of mentoring and advocacy for those refugee families with psychological/emotional issues thus impacting on their health, wellbeing and development 2) Unaccompanied Asylum Seeker Children (UASC) Community Integration Support. The service will support community cohesion between eligible UASC and local community assets 3) Resettlement support. The service will meet and greet new arrival refugees and provide practical support to settle and integrate the refugees in the local communities. This element will only be required if a further tranche of refugees are allocated to Staffordshire.
