Description
Wiltshire Council require Intrusive Ground Investigation Surveys to be undertaken by an experienced Ground Investigation Contractor to the south east of Chippenham. The work will include specified field tests to determine the geotechnical properties and characteristics of the various strata present along the length of the proposed distributor road. The Ground Investigation Contractor will act as the Principal Contractor for the works and safely coordinate activities on site. The ground investigation surveys are required to enable the collection of ground information including; constancy, strength and strata composition as well as samples for laboratory testing, contamination extents and ground water data for use in the design of the new road section. Intrusive works shall comprise borehole drilling, trial pit excavation and Cone Penetration testing.
