Description
The Royal Academy of Engineering is looking for supplier to evaluate the Google DeepMind Research Ready scheme (GDMRR). This initiative funded by Google DeepMind and the Hg Foundation, aims to support students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds and underrepresented groups in accessing postgraduate research and careers in artificial intelligence (AI). About the Opportunity: The Academy is seeking a supplier with expertise in evaluating programmes/ initiatives that have the same target demographic as the GDMRR scheme. The evaluation will focus on the 2025 summer placements and preparation for an impact evaluation in 2026 with key deliverables including: 1. Development of a theory of change. 2. Formative feedback for improving programme delivery. 3. A full impact evaluation design for future iterations of the programme. Supplier Requirements: We are particularly interested in suppliers with: 1. A proven track record of conducting similar evaluations. 2. Experience working with the target demographic in education (ideally focused on AI but not essential). 3. A commitment to diversity and inclusion, in line with the Academy's values. Next Steps: We invite you to submit a proposal outlining your approach, team expertise, and relevant experience by 23 October 2024. Clarification questions should be submitted by 9 October 2024.
