Highmoor Lane Remediation Works

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the Council) invited quotations from suitable Contractors to undertake remediation Works to a former School site (demolished in 2011) at Highmoor Lane, Hartshead in the north of the Kirklees District. The works contracts for BLRF2-funded activity for Highmoor Lane must be signed by 31 March 2024. The former school building has been demolished leaving the foundations and hardstanding which now require removal. The required remediation includes: • Removal of asbestos from foundations; • Grubbing up of existing tarmac and concrete structures to the extent of the site; • Remediation of above with topsoil.
