Description
The UK Partnership are currently undertaking a review of Accreditation. Museum Accreditation is a national baseline Standard awarded to museums which fulfil the relevant criteria in areas of governance, collections management and public access. The Scheme, which will be 30 years old in 2018, was originally developed by the museum sector, who still feel a sense of ownership of it. An ongoing review has identified that tone of language in all aspects of the Scheme is an important issue. Correspondence with museums and the language used within the Standard and guidelines need addressing in order to accurately reflect the relationship with applicants. We would like to commission a company or individual to create brand/style guidelines for the refreshed Scheme, making it appropriate for museums and relevant for the 21st Century.
