Single Supplier Negotiation for Radio Airwaves Network

The Council's requirement is for the purchase of bandwidth and network usage on the Airwaves radio system, this allows the CCTV service to communicate with emergency services through the airwaves radio system. Airwaves is the only supplier that provides access to the airwave network by law and it is critical that the service maintains this communication licence with airwaves. This contact extension would be for 30 months until National Shutdown Date (NSD) which is currently set for 31st Dec 2022 as the Home Office has awarded a nationwide contract to EE for the future provision of this service.
