Description
Emergency Medical provision required Within 10 Minutes of an emergency call the contractor will provide: Airfield Incident a. Pre-Hospital emergency medical cover to preserve lives as safely as possible by providing triage, live-saving first aid, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support, until the casualties can receive the advanced trauma response and onward casualty transfer provided through the NHS ambulance service. In conjunction with the fire service and under the command of the Fire Master. Off-Site Incident b. Pre-Hospital emergency medical cover to preserve lives as safely as possible by providing triage, live-saving first aid, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support, until the casualties can receive the advanced trauma response and onward casualty transfer provided through the NHS ambulance service. In conjunction with the fire service and under the command of the Fire Master. The Emergency Medical Airfield cover This will consist of several elements including: a. Provision of Pre-Hospital Emergency Care and Treatment. b. Participation in all on and off (as determined by the exercise and training plans in conjunction with DPHC) site exercising and training events as directed by the Fire Master. c. Participation in the creation and generation of paramedic and technician response to major incident plans for the Airfield at MOD Boscombe Down as directed by the Fire Master. d. Regular review session with the Military Aviation Medical Examiner (MAME) Medical Officer responsible for MOD Boscombe Down based at the Bulford Medical Centre. e. Support to the airfield in the management of aircraft and air personnel first aid kits destruction.
