Description

Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) is a key process to identify and mitigate workforce risks that impact National Grid's business objectives. It is a key Business Planning activity which informs annual Group Function & Business Unit investments required in recruitment, training, and talent development to address future capability and capacity needs. National Grid has procured the Strategic Workforce Planning software tool. It will enable National Grid to forecast headcount requirements based on attrition, hiring patterns and skills. The tool has the capability of integrating with other software and uses mathematical modelling to enable the planning of scenarios to identify the best strategies in workforce planning. This will enable National Grid to fulfill current and future employee requirements.
