Description

The Consortium operates a collaborative sixth form involving three of its East Riding schools (Cottingham High School, Hessle High School and Wolfreton School) ("the Serviced Schools"). Such arrangement provides a unique opportunity for the Consortium's Post-16 students to access and study a diverse portfolio of courses. To facilitate this and allow for easy movement between the three schools, the Consortium provides a free transport service for its sixth form students to utilise. The Services shall comprise the provision of an efficient and reliable transport service for sixth form students between the Serviced Schools on Term Dates in accordance with the agreed timetable set out in the Appendix 1 and 2 or otherwise determined in accordance with the Contract. Subject to the terms of the Contract, the Supplier will utilise 2 double decker vehicles per Term Day to provide the Services (each bus with a minimum of 78 passenger seats (and does not contain any lateral facing seats except when the majority of seats are forward-facing and only the rear pair of seats are lateral facing)- with fitted seatbelts, per journey. Capacity details for each vehicle and the daily vehicle Price is required in the Supplier quotation. Ahead of service commencement, the Supplier will make arrangements for the design and display of Consortium branding with full livery to both vehicles. This to be arranged in conjunction with The Consortium's Sixth Form Consortium Manager. The livery Price is required in the Supplier quotation. During the Term there may be the occasional need for the Supplier's buses mentioned above to be used for additional local Consortium activity. In such cases this would occur in between/outside of the timetabled morning, lunch and afternoon runs and would be arranged and agreed between the Consortium (via its Sixth Form Consortium Manager) and the Supplier. The Consortium may cancel all or part of the Services in respect of any Term Day(s) (but not terminate the Contract) by giving the Supplier not less than 7 calendar days' notice in advance. Where such notice is given, the Price payable by the Consortium in respect of the relevant Term Day(s) shall be reduced accordingly on a pro rata basis. The Supplier will allocate drivers on a weekly basis. The Consortium's Sixth Form Consortium Manager is responsible for monitoring the Contract and will be the Supplier's point of contact for the duration of the Contract. An Immediate replacement is necessary so that students are not stranded on route and are able to continue the journey to School as swiftly as possible; including Snow Days and Covid-19 days, an arrangement will be put in place by the supplier with agreement of the Customer in order to avoid any disruption and maintain the continuity of the service.
