Description
The supplier will need to provide: - expertise on the topic of health inequalities experienced by people with learning disabilities, autism or both; - specialist skills to communicate complex information to people with a learning disability, autism or both, including accessbile written documentation; - a sound knowledge of the role of self-advocates, family advocates and carer in supporting organisations to reduce health inequalities; - direct support to help the advisory group understand its task in advising PHE's advisory board; - other face to face meetings and accessible ongoing support to enable the advisory group engage with PHE; - manage the membership of the advisory group to ensure consistency but also to draw on expertise from new members where needed; - have an established link with networks of advocacy and self advocacy groups across England that it can approach to provide membership of the advisory group where needed; - agree with members of the advisory group how they will be reminbused for their input and arrange to make timely payments as part of the value of the contract; - arrange suitable venues, transport and food for face to face meetings; - update the terms of reference of the advisory group to reflect its new role;
