Description
In awarding a framework agreement for the Provision of Supplementary Mental Health Placements to support NHS Capacity Requirement, NOE CPC are looking to support Participating Authorities to meet the need for a service that offers the prompt assessment, referral and placement of patients with a range of mental health needs. The aim is for the service to deliver effective rehabilitation and recovery to people whose needs cannot be met by less intensive mainstream adult mental health services, with a focus is on the treatment and care of people with severe and complex mental health problems, and who would otherwise be high users of secondary and tertiary care services. It is important that bidders are aware that this framework agreement is looking to support the NHS in its objectives regarding cost effective, compliant routes to accessing non-NHS beds that are required in order to meet essential requirements for patients where additional capacity is required by Mental Health Trusts and commissioning organisations. Throughout this process, NOE CPC have engaged with NHS England and NHS Improvement (https://improvement.nhs.uk), the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) Programme, (https://gettingitrightfirsttime.co.uk) and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (www.rpsych.ac.uk) who are aware of and supportive of our objectives, the service specification and the approach we are taking the to the provision of a framework agreement for these services.
