Description
As the UK ETS expands and develops, it is important to learn from the impact of other schemes and policies around the world. We require a rigorous and comprehensive systematic review of: 1. Carbon pricing policies (including but not limited to emissions trading) implemented or considered in other parts of the world (at national, subnational or supranational level) and related to the following sectors: heating buildings, transport and agriculture. The review should cover the policies’ social and economic impacts, as well as their effectiveness in reducing GHG. 2. Mitigation policies to alleviate disproportionate impacts of carbon pricing policies on economically or socially vulnerable groups. Wherever possible/relevant, the bidder is encouraged to take an intersectional approach in their consideration of vulnerable groups. 3. The literature on public perceptions and receptiveness to carbon pricing policies.
