Description
The objectives of the project are to answer the following three research questions: a) Is there evidence that some employers' local complaints processes, escalation criteria and concern-raising cultures tend to lead to a higher proportion of complaints referred to the GMC being ones that the GMC will need to investigate. b) Can we identify within this some promising approaches that might be transferable to other situations and if so what are these? c) Do different approaches lead to differences in the way different groups of doctors - in terms of their roles, seniority or demographics - are engaged with, or affected by complaints or raising of concerns.
