Description
National Citizen Service Trust ('NCS Trust') is appointed the supplier to provide mental health training to the National Citizen Service Trust workforce. This training will better prepare and equip our workforce to provide more robust support, around mental health, to young people on our programmes. This training needs to be delivered nationally. The training will be face to face training using the train the trainer model. The appointed supplier will be training trainers in our network to deliver mental health training to our workforce that meets set criteria. NCS Trust is looking to award a one (1) year contract with a possibility to extend for a further one (1) year (1+1) by an agreement by both parties. The main objectives of this contract are to establish a workforce that is competent and confident in having conversations about mental health with young people, which are based on a good knowledge of common mental health/wellbeing issues that young people experience and current best practice. To provide the workforce with tools and methods they can apply in practice. To establish a workforce that understands their responsibilities, including the limits of their competence and their role. We need a train the trainer course that can be rolled out across the UK. This will mean that the provider we choose needs to be capable of sending their instructors to various parts of the UK to deliver the train the trainer training.
