Description

Barrowby village is situated in the county of Lincolnshire, close to the borders of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. The village stands approx. 2 miles outside the town of Grantham, on the A52 road travelling west to Nottingham. It is one of the largest villages in the district of South Kesteven and has a population of approximately 2000 people. Barrowby is also fortunate to have two small play areas within the village although the equipment is minimal and somewhat outdated. The Parish Council is keen to address this by creating imaginative spaces which include equipment and landscaping to inspire play and establish areas which are utilised and valued by the local Community. The Parish Council have established the Barrowby Play Equipment Forum (the Forum) to run the consultation and procurement process to seek and appoint a suitably skilled, qualified and experienced contractor to renew, supply and install play equipment and remove other pieces of specified equipment from the two play areas located in Barrowby Village, one on the Village Green and the other on Adamstiles.
