Description
BMBC have a requirement for Traffic Management services to support the day to day work activities within the Local Authority. BMBC requires the Contractor to provide when requested temporary traffic management solutions for its street works, private and public roads/highways/footpaths/bridleways in the entire BMBC region. The provision of the services will include the installation, maintenance and removal of all signing and guarding on various highway and street lighting schemes on behalf of our Highways Construction Department and our Sub-Contractors. Services shall comply with the requirements of the appropriate British Standard or equivalent and of specification unless otherwise directed or permitted by the project manager. All traffic management layouts must be in accordance with: Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual 2006 (Traffic Safety Measures and Signs for Road Works and Temporary situations) Part 1 and Part 2 Code of Practice for Safety at Street Works and Road Works Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 The required services will be predominantly required for local roads and one high-speed Dual Carriageway - the A6195 Dearne Valley Parkway. Operators on site Works included but not restricted to: Temporary Traffic Signals (2-way and Multi-way) Lane Closures Road Closures & Diversions Advance Warning Signs for Highway Schemes No Parking Signage and Coning in Advance and During Highway Schemes Letter Drop to Affected Frontages Pedestrian Management for Footways Speed Restrictions for Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Works Out of Hours Maintenance Checks on Static Sites Provision of Traffic Control Safety Officer as and when required.
