Local Logistics and Transportation Services (includes Taxis and Couriers)

The Trust is currently reviewing its requirements for Taxi/Courier Services and Outreach Support. It is the intention of the Trust to go to competition later this year. The Trust intends to split the contract into lots (as shown below). We would welcome thoughts and ideas with regards to the service operation, and would be also interested in meeting with suppliers in this market place. Goods for delivery non-scheduled same day including out of hours between Papworth and CUH. (ends 2018) 2. Goods for delivery non-scheduled same day deliveries to patients 3. Goods for Specialist delivery to Out Reach Support. 4. Goods and Carriage of people from Papworth and other Trusts Specification Lots 1&2- Small consignments generally, suitable for car, van, bike We require a 24 hour, 7 day, 52 week per year service arriving at stipulated times. With a 30 minute response time in cases of short notice bookings. To transport a variety of goods, equipment, documents, medication, blood and tissue samples to a variety of locations including patient homes. Lot 3 – Specialist courier service We require a service to support weekly Outreach Clinics on set dates and at set times in different locations throughout East Anglia. In the collection, delivery and demonstration of monitoring equipment to patients(for which training will be provided). Lot 4 - Taxi service We require a 24 hour, 7 day, 52 week service with a 30 minute response time. To transport staff, visitors and patients from locations within Cambridgeshire to a variety of locations.
