Description
Staffordshire County Council would like to invite qualified Providers for the provision of Stop Smoking in Pregnancy Services across Staffordshire. The aim of the service is to reduce the number of women smoking during pregnancy by providing evidence-based treatment and behavioural support to pregnant women making quit attempts. The delivery for the service will reduce levels of smoking-related illness, disability, mortality, and health inequality for both the pregnant woman and unborn children. Stop smoking in pregnancy services are time-limited interventions provided during pregnancy to support pregnant women who smoke to stop smoking successfully and permanently. The service has six key components: The Provider must be able to show they can provide a stop-smoking support service that: • is equitably accessible to all pregnant women who smoke • gives a particular focus on those areas in Staffordshire with highest rates of smoking in pregnancy • offers the most effective, evidence-based treatments available • supports pregnant women who smoke to successfully quit smoking • works with partners to improve referrals from targeted areas • achieves high levels of Service User satisfaction.
