18-032: Floor Coverings

The requirement for this contract is the supply and fitting of a range of domestic floor coverings to meet the requirements of customers for furnished properties under the Rotherham Furnished Homes Scheme. The demand in domestic textile and vinyl floor covering is generated from a stock of tenanted accommodations throughout the Borough. The requirement for a quick and responsive turn around in these homes is of the utmost importance. There are currently 4000 properties let as furnished and there is an expectation to generate 250 more in the coming year although this figure could vary up or down dependant on available funds, and also external political factors in relation to welfare reform.
