Private Water Supply Disinfection Systems Research Project

The aim of this project is to inform and aid future decisions about the regulation of private water supplies and advice to owners by providing a better understanding of current disinfection regimes and best practice in this area. It will provide insight into how the quality of private supplies may be improved. The project will achieve this by investigating the range and effectiveness of chemical disinfection systems used in private water supply systems. How these private supply disinfection systems are operated and maintained should also be investigated.
