Domestic Combustion Research

To gain a further understanding of domestic combustion behaviours, in particular: 1) solid fuel use (including quantities burnt, appliance type, etc...) to enable an appraisal of current emissions inventory estimates; 2) attitudes and behaviours relating to burning (including uptake of efficient burning practices, appliance maintenance and barriers to change); 3) motivations for appliance purchasing (including drivers of purchasing decisions and potential for further growth in numbers burning at home); 4) knowledge and understanding of wider context (e.g. importance of seasoning and smoke control areas)
