Description
The University is seeking a partner to deliver increased energy capacity and infrastructure improvements at its Thornton Science Park site in the North West with a view to making financial and carbon savings. The site is currently dependent on an adjacent refinery site for a number of its key utilities and further key drivers for the project are to achieve security of supply and independence from its neighbour. The ESCo, or similar organisation, would be responsible for the design and subsequent construction of infrastructure and installation of energy conservation measures which will be supported by energy performance guarantees. Some or all of these works will be funded by the energy savings and the partner organisation may be required to retain responsibiliy for operation and maintenance including extensive monitoring and verification. The University reserves the right to use the ultimate Strategic Energy Partner’s services at its other sites and campuses.
