Description
Skanska Costain Strabag Joint Venture (SCSJV) are seeking supply chain partners to provide crane maintenance services for the HS2 Main Works Civils Contract Area Central. The Subcontractor provides all management, people, equipment, plant and materials, consumables (including fuels) and any other resources necessary to carry out and complete the items below. Timing of work to be agreed 4 weeks prior to planned commencement. LOLER thorough examination of each crane (e.g., https://www.hse.gov.uk/work-equipment-machinery/thorough-examinations-lifting-equipment.htm). Periodic LOLER thorough examination according to LOLER requirements Including but not limited to: ­Wear checks and measurements on brakes, ropes, mechanical and electrical components ­Visual inspections and functional checks of all components, including but not limited to brakes and safety devices ­All brakes are visually inspected thus ensuring that the brakes are working efficiently and without undue wear. ­Visual checks for defects - all components. ­Visual structural inspection of the crane. ­Non-destructive testing, load testing and other tests as deemed appropriate by the competent person. ­Disassembly or internal examination of parts as required to conduct the above examination items. ­Any other checks as specified by the manufacturer. Report of inspection as per LOLER requirements (e.g. LOLER Schedule 1: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1998/2307/schedule/1/made). Immediate notification to Contractor of any defects noted to be a danger to people. Schedule of examinations to be every 6 months initially (following examination at commissioning) then adjusted as needed according to as per a competent person recommendation taking into account the work environment and historical findings. Adhoc inspections maybe required in the event of exceptional circumstances (e.g. damage). Bimonthly servicing (every two months). This may be adjusted should the servicing reports indicates more, or less frequent inspections are required. Upon completion a detailed report to be provided to the Contractor. Quote for remedial works associated with any defects identified to be provided. Servicing to consist, as a minimum, of the following: ­Wear and other defect checks of load ropes ­All safety devices are checked for correct operation and adjusted as required ­All electrical components are checked for wear, cleaned, and adjusted where necessary. ­All brakes are adjusted to the correct settings, thus ensuring that the brakes are working efficiently and without undue wear. ­All safety devices are checked for correct operation and adjusted if required. ­All mechanical components are checked for wear. ­Full lubrication program as per OEM and/ or industry recommendations Subcontractor to provide a breakdown response service which includes out of hours unscheduled onsite work and over the phone assistance. This service to be provided 24x7 unless otherwise agreed.
