Description
Homecare Development - Provider Engagement Event The Royal Borough of Greenwich is inviting organisations to an engagement session to explore early thinking around the potential introduction of a Development Lot within the future Homecare service model. This session forms part of the Council's wider review and recommissioning of Homecare services. As part of this work, the Council is seeking to understand how best to support a diverse, sustainable and resilient provider market that reflects the needs of residents and enables high quality, person centred care. The event is open to all organisations with an interest in Homecare provision, including established providers, new entrants and organisations considering future involvement in the sector. We are keen to gather a broad range of perspectives to ensure that any future commissioning approach is informed by the full diversity of the market. As part of this engagement, the Council is exploring whether a Development Lot could help organisations at different stages of maturity to participate in the Homecare market. This may include, for example, micro enterprises, small and local businesses, voluntary and community organisations, Community Interest Companies, co operatives and providers considering entering or expanding within the regulated Homecare sector. Contributions from all provider types will be equally valued. The Council is at an early stage of considering this option. No decisions have been made, and any future commissioning arrangements remain subject to further development, consultation and formal procurement processes. Participation in this engagement event will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any future procurement. The session will provide an opportunity to discuss themes such as: • Barriers organisations experience when entering or operating within the Homecare market • Support, training and development opportunities that may help providers build capacity • Approaches to reducing administrative and regulatory challenges • Workforce recruitment, retention and skills development • Opportunities for partnership working and collaboration • The types of support organisations may find beneficial • Potential ways a Development Lot could be structured to encourage participation and sustainable growth Feedback from the event will help inform the Council's ongoing thinking. Any information relevant to future procurement processes will be made publicly available to ensure transparency and equal access. The Council is committed to working collaboratively with providers and communities to develop commissioning approaches that encourage innovation, improve accessibility and support a diverse provider landscape.
