RELIEF SUPPORT CARETAKING SERVICE SUMMARY SPECIFICATION Contractors are required to provide a mixed range of services (not necessarily at all schools and not necessarily all at the same time) to support the caretaking security and tenure of no less than 12 Primary, Special Schools. 1. Key Holding Service: The collection, safe keeping, 24 hour availability and return when requested of specified school entrance/gate keys to enable both emergency access to named personnel and or emergency services and enable you to respond within the 2 hour timeframe when requested. 2. Planned and Unplanned unlock/open and lock/close service: Early morning and or evening, ensuring the school is fully open, alarm disarmed, safe and ready for school sessions starting (as per individual school requirements) and at the end of the school day ensuring the school is fully locked down, safe and alarmed. 3. Planned and Unplanned Full day caretaking cover: In addition to the above requiring a competent member of staff to carry out the full duties of the caretaker throughout the shift to include cleaning, porterage, minor repairs and support in accordance with the individual school requirements. 4. Emergency Response in conjunction with keyholding): In addition to the above key holding service, provide a 24 hour , 365 day response service as and when required.
