Description
The appointed consultant will undertake the marketing and disposal of our surplus site at Shawfair via private treaty, in line with the approved disposal strategy. The scope includes: Marketing Campaign Delivery Execute a targeted marketing campaign to attract suitable purchasers, including preparation of promotional materials, listing the site, and direct outreach to potential buyers. Buyer Engagement and Negotiation Manage all buyer enquiries, coordinate site visits, and lead negotiations to secure best value and terms for the Authority. Site Investigations Coordination Arrange and oversee any required site investigations in consultation with the Authority and prospective purchasers, ensuring that findings are shared promptly and transparently. Planning Advice Provide professional planning advice throughout the disposal process, including input on development potential, planning constraints, and engagement with relevant planning authorities as required. Conditional Sale Management Support the Authority in progressing a conditional sale, anticipated to be subject to the outcome of site investigations, including advising on appropriate conditions and timelines. Transaction Progression Liaise with legal representatives and internal stakeholders to progress the sale through to completion, ensuring compliance with governance, procurement, and audit requirements. Ongoing Support and Advice Provide professional advice and support throughout the disposal process, including responding to queries, advising on offers received, and assisting with decision-making at key stages. Landowner meetings Attendance at quarterly Shawfair Landowner meetings on our behalf. Monthly client meetings Attendance at monthly client update meetings. Conclusion of Disposal Support the Authority through to final completion of the sale, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and the disposal is concluded in accordance with the approved strategy.
